A LITTLE ABOUT OUR MICROPUBLISHING ENTERPRISE

Dixon-Price Publishing is a tiny company located on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington, about 16 miles northwest of Seattle. The company got its start with the publication of Writing for Trade Magazines as an exercise in self-publishing using the new Print On Demand technology.

The venture was successful. In fact, the author decided to use the new technology to reprint a few out-of-print books that he knew about from his years as a book collector who focused on boating and boat building, cruising, and adventures fictional and non in the South Seas. Often, however, the originals of these books were too pricey for the average reader, so he decided to make them available in an affordable paperback edition.

Although the company is small, it is continues to serve its original purpose of making great old books on boating and adventure available for both enthusiasts and the average reader. As the company's tenth anniversary nears, plans are underway to deliver some of its most exciting titles yet.

Stay tuned!
