ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Robert Watters lived within a few paces of his family's candy factory during his childhood and teenage years in Everett, Washington. After graduating from high school in 1943, he served in the U.S. Navy Seabees for two and a half years. He received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Washington (U.W.), Master of Science from Harvard University, and Ph.D. in Chemistry from U.W. He is a former associate professor at Colorado State University, research manager for the Department of Energy, and private consultant on radiation safety. He has authored or coauthored 20 scientific articles and six book chapters. Currently, he and his wife live on the Kitsap Peninsula in the State of Washington.
